Multiple choice questions are very common as they are very easy to mark - especially for a computer! The multiple choice questions are used specifically to assess if you know how to approach a specific problem, to check if you can identify the right answer in a list of options or to ask you to pick the best response to a question.
Multiple choice answer questions look like this:
After you have submitted your answer, you will be presented immediately with the answer page. The below image runs you through the different features you can find on this page and what they mean.
a) Multiple Choice Mark Scheme: These were the options available when you selected your answer. Here, you can easily see which your choice was (in orange text in brackets) and which the correct choice was, from the green tick.
b) Explanation: The answer explanation gives you a bit more detail as to why the correct answer was actually correct!
