The Get My Grades Platform allows you to take your current performance and your own personal goals and use them to become more accountable for your grades!
a) Set your Target and Minimum Grades
From your Subject Breakdown, the Set Grades pop-up can be accessed by clicking on 'Set Now' at the top right of the page.
This will then open the pop-up for you to set both your Target and Minimum Grades for whichever subject you have open.
b) Target Grade
You can read more about the 9-1 grading system here, if this is still something you are not sure about. Once you have an idea of what you would like your target grade to be set as, you can mark it in this pop-up. Don't worry: you can change this at any time; it's not set in stone!
For the example below (and to explain the colour-coding later), we are going to assume our Target Grade is a 7.
c) Minimum Grade
You should set your Minimum Grade as the absolute lowest grade you would be happy to achieve.
Again, to help explain colour-coding to you, we are going to assume in this example that our Minimum Grade is a 4.
You should now click on 'Set my grades' in the pop-up. The Subject Breakdown will refresh and, if you've already completed any Revise assignments, your scores and grades will now be colour-coded!
Your Subject Breakdown page should, once you've expanded the table, look a bit like this:
So, how do you get different colours?
The colour-coding system is based on a traffic light system:
Green = on Target Grade or above
Amber = between Target Grade and Minimum Grade
Red = below Minimum Grade
Going back to our example grades above, the below number line shows all grades, our Minimum Grade (4) and our Target Grade (7).
The Subject Breakdown will adapt the colour-coding based on the Target and Minimum Grades that you choose and update automatically. This makes it really visually simple for you to focus your efforts on your weakest areas as they can be easily identified with either Red or Amber colour-coding.
If you have not yet completed a Revise assignment for a concept, the Score and Grade will remain in blue.
e) Student vs. Family
The Target and Minimum Grades can be set by either Student or Family users. This is so that any family members that are linked to your account can help and guide you through your educational journey.
So, if you log in and you've noticed your set grades have changed, maybe check with people who are linked to your account!
